Seretide Diskus 100/50 mcg is a combination inhaler delivering Fluticasone propionate, an inhaled corticosteroid, and Salmeterol, a long-acting beta-2 agonist (LABA), via a convenient Diskus device. Fluticasone reduces airway inflammation and prevents asthma attacks, while Salmeterol provides sustained bronchodilation for up to 12 hours. This combination is indicated for the regular maintenance treatment of asthma in adults and children aged 4 years and older who are not adequately controlled on inhaled corticosteroids alone. Each inhaler contains 60 doses and should not be used for acute relief of bronchospasm.
