Erastabex Co 40/10 mg is a fixed-dose combination film-coated tablet containing Olmesartan medoxomil 40 mg and Amlodipine 10 mg. Olmesartan is an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker that reduces vascular resistance, while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes arterial smooth muscle. The synergistic action of these two complementary antihypertensive mechanisms produces greater blood pressure reductions than either agent used alone. Indicated for patients with essential hypertension who are not adequately controlled by monotherapy. Taken once daily, with or without food.
