Chartoreg Plus 80/12.5 mg is a fixed-dose combination of Olmesartan medoxomil and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) for the management of essential hypertension. Olmesartan blocks AT1 receptors to inhibit the vasoconstrictive effects of angiotensin II, while HCTZ promotes sodium and water excretion through the kidneys. Together, they provide a synergistic reduction in blood pressure with improved tolerability.
