Chartoreg Co 80/10 mg combines Olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, with Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, in one convenient daily tablet. This synergistic combination lowers blood pressure through two complementary mechanisms: Olmesartan blocks the renin-angiotensin system while Amlodipine relaxes vascular smooth muscle. The result is greater blood pressure reduction than either agent alone, with an excellent tolerability profile. Indicated for patients with essential hypertension not adequately controlled on monotherapy.
