Augmentin 1 g film-coated tablets from GSK combine broad-spectrum amoxicillin trihydrate with clavulanic acid to treat bacterial infections. Each tablet contains 1004.5 mg amoxicillin trihydrate (equivalent to 875 mg amoxicillin) and 148.9 mg potassium clavulanate (equivalent to 125 mg clavulanic acid). Packaged in a blister of 14 film-coated tablets, this formulation enhances antibiotic efficacy and helps overcome beta-lactamase producing bacteria.
